The new iPad 3 tablet from Apple will have a thinner and more streamlined style, and it will be lighter too, making it smaller than its predecessor, the ubiquitous iPad 2.
With 2048 x 1536 display plus full support touch-screen HD, the iPad 3 will have technology that will enable wireless charging for the battery and also for data transfer.
The new iPad3 will run on an A6 Quad-core Processor, comparable to any high-end home computer.
The A6 quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 from Qualcomm will have these MSM8960 A15-class brand running at 1.7GHz.
The iPad 3 will be launched on March 7, 2012 according to reliable sources.
Other features of the tablet include Retina Display outside Apple's own iOS 5 operating system.
Apple website refers to the Retina Display thus: “Developing pixels a mere 78 micrometers wide, The Apple company designers were able to load up four times the number of pixel into the same 3.5-inch display found on previous iPhone designs.”
The iPad 3 from Apple will also come with an enhanced camera, since the tablet’s previous version was not that impressive. As opposed to the iPad2, the new product will come with LED flash to support the camera. It is predicted to have a 5MP camera with 1080p or 720p video producing quality of 60 frames per second.
Patents have been granted to the company for a fingerprint proofing technology, as Apple tries to make the iPad3 fingerprint proof. The touch-screen technology will be protected with oleophobic components, which will decrease the oil and prints on screen.
Expectations were high that the new iPad camera will be 13MP, but news emerging indicate 8 megapixel as the most likely sensor on the device.
